Fundamentals

Our U7s and U8s get their first taste of football matches in 5v5 format to start their footballing journey. Playing games within the Royston Crow Youth Football League, its a fantastic environment to play matches across Herts and Beds.

Weekly training by qualified volunteer parent coaches helps set the players on their way to falling in love with the beautiful game.

Children need to be in school years 3 and 4 to qualify for our U7s and U8s.

As well as match squads, we also offer some training-only spaces, depending on overall numbers. We currently have 2 x U7 teams and 4 x U8 teams registered for the 24/25 season.

At these age groups we welcome new parents to step forward to get involved as coaches and helpers, to ensure we can facilitate as many children as possible into their first chance to play organised football matches.

If you have a child looking to play and/or you’d like to get involved on the coaching side, please get in touch.

Our teams transition to 11aside football from U13s onwards, where we have multiple squads across each age group. For our U13s and U14s we provide facilities to cater for the smaller dimension pitches and goals, meeting the FA guidelines as players transition to the full-format game.
